So far from where I’ve been

The shoot I had planned with Yaelle -my lovely muse living abroad- almost didn’t happen, as there was a big strike going on and she might not be able to make her way back home for Christmas. Luckily I had taken a day off at work, so we could arrange a last minute shoot a couple days earlier. Yaelle is a dream to work with, always has a smile on her face and we have a sort of understanding through photographs that is not easy to find.

December days are hard for natural light photographers, but they do convey some sort of comfy “staying inside drinking hot cocoa” mood…

In autumn it’s girls and a broken heart

Hello December! Where did you so suddenly come from?

I feel like I don’t have nearly enough time to shoot as much as I want to (constantly?), but luckily I can still make some time to photograph wonderful models like for instance Laura May, a girl whom I’ve been anxious to shoot with for quite some time now. I’m sure you can figure out why by looking at the pictures.

I wanted to go for something a little darker than my usual photos, but still quite romantic and soft. Here you can see some digitals, but I mainly tried to shoot analog as I am very curious to see how the textures and colors will appear on film. Hopefully I’ll be able to show you those photographs as well sometime in the near future.

Shooting natural light indoors is getting quite difficult lately as autumn is not really letting much light in. I guess I will have to invent some sort of switch to turn sunlight up and down. But alas, this will not be for tonight. I still have pasta to eat.

But I digress. Just scroll down to the pictures to avoid any more nonsense.

Goodnight!
