It always takes me forever to finish a roll though. For example I started this particular roll last year, there are photos of a shoot in November on it, and I finished it well, last week. A little reminder for me to shoot more of it (and maybe a little less 120 might be good for the wallet too!).

I had a shoot planned with the lovely Renée but I didn’t quite know what the concept could be. I was thinking about it for two weeks, going back and forth and about two days before the shoot was due, I decided I was going to do a shoot inspired by the color white. This was one of those things I had been thinking about for quite a long time, but didn’t quite know how to pull it together. I got so excited about the idea though that I forgot my ‘impeccable’ timing and decided to just go for it. So the day before I went to the store, bought some cheap white fabric (one for a tutu, another for a dress), and folded hundreds of white origami flowers. And even though it was a lot of work in very little time, I really enjoyed it. I would quite like to get more into ‘set making’ and things like that. Well, enough talk, here are some polaroids!

She’s one of the few girls I like to call ‘muses’. Our shoots together are mostly rather impromptu since she lives abroad and we just make a habit out of meeting whenever she’s in the country. We decided to keep our latest shoot very simple and relaxed, just shooting inside the apartment and seeing what inspiration brought us.

This particular concept  had been in my head for months so you can understand I was very happy when things finally fell into place.

It was January, I had been on a shoot break for over a month, and they were predicting snow for the weekend. I for one, had never done a proper shoot in the snow, and I had this new old camera that happened to scream for attention, so out of the blue I texted Charlotte and Kathleen if they were up for a snow shoot, and they were! It was our tenth time shooting together and we froze our asses off (especially Charlotte who was such a trooper), but it was so much fun. Since we’ve worked together so many times already, there’s this easiness and relaxedness which just adds to the whole experience. Hopefully there will be plenty more shoots with this team to follow!
